Since opening the doors of my practice in 2016, I have provided clients in the Ottawa area with a wide range of mental health services as a Registered Social Worker. My experience includes the role of a Social Worker at The Ottawa Hospital, working in long-term care facilities and private practice, as well as participating in programs which improve the health of vulnerable children. I currently see clients of all ages in my private practice and specialize in areas such as trauma, relationship and family issues, parenting, blended families, and divorce. This includes working with first responders, VAC and CAF members, individual adults, children, and couples. From small scale circumstances, to traumatic experiences - my services will be personalized to suit your needs.
Memory is the core of health and symptoms. Unprocessed memories contain the feelings, thoughts, sensations and behavioural responses encoded at the time of the event. Together we will explore past experiences and potential connections to your symptoms such as burnout, anxiety, depression, stress, hyperactivity, or relationship breakdown. My approach includes elements of the Adaptive Information Processing model, attachment and dissociation theory, as well as EMDR, DBT, CBT, sand tray, ego state, narrative, and IFS therapy.
